A collection of British commemorative cupro-nickel crowns. The group includes a 1965 Sir Winston Churchill commemorative crown, housed in a plastic display case marked 1874 1965 SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL COMMEMORATIVE CROWN. Also present is a 1953 coronation five shilling crown in a square plastic case, showing the four shields of the Royal Arms on the reverse with the inscription ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F.D. FIVE SHILLINGS. The collection further contains loose examples of the 1965 Churchill crown and several 1980 crowns issued to mark the 80th birthday of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, inscribed QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER AUGUST 4th 1980. All coins feature the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
Condition report:
The coins show varying degrees of surface wear, minor bag marks, and light toning consistent with age. The plastic display cases exhibit visible scuffing and surface scratches.
