Buyer's Premium:

A collection of British and Commonwealth coinage, primarily composed of 20th-century commemorative and circulating issues. The group features two crowns in original plastic display cases: a 1977 Silver Jubilee crown and a 1965 Sir Winston Churchill commemorative crown. Loose items include further cupro-nickel crowns, such as a 1953 Coronation five-shilling piece, another 1977 Jubilee crown, and 1965 Churchill issues. Smaller denominations are represented by a selection of brass threepence coins with dates including 1941, 1955, 1961, and 1966. Also present is a Gibraltar one-pound coin featuring the text Discovery of Neanderthal Skull in Gibraltar 1848. At the base of the group is a large-format, heavily worn copper coin, appearing to be a George III Cartwheel issue, currently bearing a small adhesive label marked 6.

Condition report:

The coins exhibit various states of preservation. Cased commemorative issues remain well-preserved within their original packaging. Loose crowns show light to moderate circulation wear and toning. The 1953 Coronation crown has been modified with a small hole drilled through the upper margin. Brass threepence coins show expected surface oxidisation and wear consistent with age. The large copper coin is heavily circulated with significant loss of detail, edge bruising, and deep surface discolouration.
