A 1997 UK Brilliant Uncirculated two pound coin. This bi-metallic issue consists of a cupro-nickel inner disc within a nickel-brass outer ring. The reverse design by Bruce Rushin features a series of concentric circles representing the progression of technological achievement. The obverse bears the third definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf. The coin features a milled edge with the incuse inscription STANDING ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS. It is housed in the original Royal Mint illustrative presentation folder which includes historical information and technical specifications. This was the first bi-metallic two pound coin produced for general circulation in the United Kingdom.

Condition report:
The coin is in brilliant uncirculated condition, retaining full original mint lustre. The commemorative card presentation folder is well-preserved with only minor shelf wear and light rubbing to the edges and corners.
