Buyer's Premium:

A 1951 United Kingdom five shilling commemorative crown struck to celebrate the Festival of Britain. The piece is composed of cupro-nickel. The reverse features the Saint George and the Dragon design by Benedetto Pistrucci, while the obverse bears the portrait of King George VI. The edge carries a Latin inscription. The coin is presented in its original dark green Royal Mint box of issue with gilt lettering and includes the original paper descriptive insert.


Condition report:

The coin is in a high state of preservation, appearing uncirculated with significant mint lustre and only minor handling marks. The original green box shows some scuffing and wear to the edges and corners. The paper insert exhibits natural age-related toning.
