The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, with his initials IRB visible at the truncation of the neck. The piece is inscribed ELIZABETH II, COOK ISLANDS, 1 DOLLAR, and 2012. The reverse is decorated with a stylized Tiki figure positioned above the weight and purity specifications 10g .999 FINE SILVER. At the base of the reverse is a boxed assay mark containing the letters CHI within a circle, alongside the words ESSAYEUR FONDEUR. This item represents a hybrid of legal tender coinage and investment bullion.
