The coin is struck to Brilliant Uncirculated standard and is housed in its original green card folder titled A Celebration of Football. The obverse of the folder features a stylised illustration of football players and the official Royal Mint emblem. The reverse contains a historical timeline of European Championship finals from 1960 to 1992. The item is preserved in its original clear plastic mailing sleeve, which includes the printed reference code UKEF2BU 1/1996. The reverse of the pack displays the Royal Mint logo and manufacturer details for the Llantrisant facility.
