Estimated price: £40 - £60

Buyer's Premium:

An antique copper tea kettle of traditional form, likely of British origin and dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The kettle features a copper body with a prominent horizontal seam around the mid-section, characteristic of traditional domestic copperware manufacture. It is designed with a curved gooseneck spout and a circular, slightly tapering base. The piece is fitted with a fixed brass handle frame that supports a turned, ebonised wooden grip. The domed lid is topped with a matching ebonised wooden finial. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible.

Condition report:

The item is in good antique condition with signs of domestic use consistent with its age. Visible small dents are present on the shoulder and body, along with minor surface scratches and areas of oxidation, particularly around the seams and the base of the spout. The ebonised finish on the wooden handle and finial shows some surface wear.
