The coin is struck in cupro-nickel and remains housed in its original illustrative presentation folder. The obverse displays the fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley with the inscription ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 1999. The accompanying folder features a photographic portrait of the Princess, a stylized rose graphic, and a printed tribute quote attributed to the Queen.
