A collection of United Kingdom coinage dated 2004, issued by the Royal Mint. The set is presented in the original blue and orange card presentation folder. The assembly includes both definitive and commemorative issues. Definitive types include the one penny, two pence, five pence, ten pence, twenty pence, and fifty pence coins. Commemorative pieces within the collection comprise a fifty pence piece for the 50th Anniversary of the first four-minute mile, a one pound coin depicting the Forth Railway Bridge, a standard Technology type two pound coin, and a commemorative two pound coin for the bicentenary of the steam locomotive. The coins are struck in various alloys according to denomination.
Metal compositions: Copper-plated steel, cupro-nickel, nickel-brass, and bimetallic (cupro-nickel centre with a nickel-brass outer ring).
Condition report:
Brilliant uncirculated. All coins exhibit full original mint lustre and show no signs of circulation wear or handling. The card presentation folder is in good condition with only minimal signs of shelf wear.
