This commemorative medal was issued by the Windsor Mint to celebrate the 2023 coronation of King Charles III. Struck in a gilt base metal, the piece is presented in a clear protective acrylic capsule. The obverse features a left-facing profile portrait of the King, encircled by the legend CHARLES III · KING OF THE UNITED KINGDOM · DEI GRATIA REX. The reverse displays a central crowned CIII R monogram within an ornate Tudor rose motif, surrounded by the same legend. The medal is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (Echtheits-Zertifikat) which lists the event in German, English, and French. The certificate bears the serial number 00210 and the reference code 820.612.4 INT. This item is a non-circulating commemorative numismatic piece and does not hold legal tender status.
Condition report:
The medal is in uncirculated, proof-like condition, featuring highly reflective mirror fields and frosted details on the raised relief. There are no visible signs of wear, toning, or surface marks. The protective capsule and the accompanying paper certificate are in excellent state.
