This Cook Islands one dollar commemorative coin is part of the Diamond Wedding Photographic Portrait Collection issued by Westminster. Struck in 24ct gold-plated cupronickel, the coin commemorates the 60th wedding anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The obverse features a central, full-colour photographic portrait of the royal couple entitled Greeting the Crowds, set within a gold-toned border. The border is inscribed with the legend ELIZABETH AND PHILIP and the commemorative dates 1947 and 2007. The coin is accompanied by its original Certificate of Authenticity, which confirms the edition limit of 60,000 and provides historical context regarding the Jubilee celebrations in 2002.
