2002 United Kingdom Royal Mint Golden Jubilee Five Pound (£5) crown. Struck in sterling silver to a proof finish, this commemorative coin marks the 50th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II. The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of the monarch and the denomination FIVE POUNDS. The reverse displays an equestrian portrait design with the Latin legends ELIZABETH II DEI GRA REGINA FID DEF and AMOR POPULI PRÆSIDIUM REG. The date 2002 is located at the base, divided by a small crowned shield of the Royal Arms. This design is an homage to the 1953 Coronation crown. The edge is milled.
Condition report:
Proof condition. The coin displays surface haze and light toning across the fields on both the obverse and reverse. No significant abrasions, hairlines, or edge knocks are present.
