A 2020 United Kingdom bi-metallic two pound coin issued by the Royal Mint to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Captain James Cook’s voyage of discovery. The coin is struck with a cupro-nickel inner core and a nickel-brass outer ring. The reverse features the Captain James Cook 250th Anniversary design by Gary Breeze, featuring the dual dates 1770-2020 and the inscription CAPTAIN JAMES COOK. The coin is presented in a dark blue cardboard mount printed with UNITED KINGDOM and £2. A holographic security label is present at the base of the card carrying the repeated micro-text UNCIRCULATED UNITED KINGDOM CERTIFIED BRILLIANT.
Condition report:
Brilliant uncirculated. The coin exhibits full original mint lustre with no signs of wear, bag marks, or circulation. The cardboard mount is in good condition.
