A trio of glazed ceramic figurines depicting Siamese cats in various naturalistic poses, comprising one upright sitting figure, one crouching/stalking figure, and one curled in a sleeping position. The figures are finished in a high-gloss glaze, featuring characteristic cream-coloured bodies with dark chocolate-brown points on the ears, faces, tails, and paws. Each figure is detailed with vibrant blue eyes. No maker’s marks or backstamps are visible to the pieces. The forms and decoration are in the style of mid-20th-century animal models produced by British potteries such as Royal Doulton or Beswick.
Condition report:
The sitting figure displays a small chip or flake to the tip of the left ear. All three pieces exhibit fine, age-related crazing to the glaze, which is most apparent on the cream sections of the crouching and curled models. There is a light accumulation of surface dust and scattered minor scuffs consistent with age and previous display.
