A Coalport bisque porcelain figurine titled Royal Invitation, part of the Age of Elegance series. The standing female figure is wearing a Victorian-style evening gown of pale blue with a white lace-effect hem and tiered skirt. She holds a pleated pink fan in her right hand and gathers the edge of her skirt with her left. The bodice is detailed with ruffles and a pink rose at the neckline. Her brown hair is styled in an ornate updo. The underside is marked with a black printed crown above COALPORT PORCELAIN MADE IN ENGLAND EST. 1750. It also bears the series and model names, the designation Figurine of the Year 1998, and is noted as being modelled by Jack Glynn with a printed signature. Copyright date COALPORT 1997 is present, along with codes 19 and 10 / 97. An incised mark CP61 4B is visible on the rim, and there is a small paper sticker numbered 1094.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restorations to the delicate extremities such as the fingers or fan. There are small reddish-brown stains and light surface marks on the unglazed base rim.
