A collection of UK Royal Mail First Day Covers housed in a red Collecta brand the collector’s choice… binder. The collection includes the 1988 Linnean Society commemorative issue featuring three denominations with circular Philatelic Bureau Edinburgh first day cancellations dated 19 January 1988. Also visible is the 1988 Financial Times commemorative issue featuring multiple Machin definitive stamps with a specialised Financial Times circular first day cancellation from Edinburgh dated 9 February 1988. The covers are typewritten and addressed to a recipient in Sheffield. The stamps are perforated and housed within clear plastic sleeves.
Condition report:
The exterior red binder exhibits minor shelf wear and surface scuffing. The internal covers and sleeves appear to be in good condition with no visible foxing or heavy toning. Postmarks are crisp and legible.
