An assortment of philatelic material comprising a Royal Mail First Day Cover (FDC) album and a group of loose Isle of Man commemorative stamps. The album contains Royal Mail FDCs including the 1981 Fishing set, the 1982 Youth Organisations set, and the 1985 Safety at Sea set. These covers feature commemorative pictorial cachets and circular date stamps (CDS) from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, and Eastbourne, East Sussex, addressed to the Purcell family. The loose specimens consist of the Isle of Man 1988 Tramways and Railways commemorative series, catalogued as Stanley Gibbons #370-385 (Scott #347-358D). This group features various denominations including 1p, 2p, 3p, 5p, 13p, 14p, 15p, 19p, and 20p. The designs depict historical island transport such as the Snaefell Mountain Railway, Groudle Glen Railway, Baldwin Reservoir Tramway, and Laxey Mine Railway.

Condition report:

The FDCs are addressed and exhibit light, clear circular date stamps. The loose Isle of Man stamps appear to be in mint never hinged (MNH) condition with intact perforations and original gum. General condition is consistent with careful contemporary storage within protective sleeves.
