A collection of UK Royal Mail and United Nations philatelic items. The assembly includes mint never hinged blocks and strips of commemorative stamps. Identified UK issues include the 1994 D-Day 50th Anniversary series (SG 1827-1831), the 1994 Channel Tunnel issue (SG 1823-1826), the 1995 Globe Theatre series (SG 1882-1886), the 1996 Sporting Achievements series (SG 1928-1932), and the 1997 Tudor Wives series (SG 1964-1969). The collection also features a British Airways Concorde first flight commemorative cover for flight BA 172 from New York to London, dated 2 June 1978. This cover is franked with United Nations 2c and emblem stamps and bears a circular United Nations New York date stamp. The items are presented within British Airways Concorde commemorative folders.
Condition report:
The stamps are in mint never hinged condition with original gum. Centring is predominantly fine to very fine. Perforations remain intact and clean. The Concorde cover is in good condition with a legible cancellation. The presentation folders show minor evidence of handling and edge wear.
