The bowl is decorated with a centrally positioned, chased and engraved cartouche containing an oval with a cross-hatched interior pattern, flanked by stylised foliate sprays and surmounted by a shell crest. The bowl is supported by an ornate, cast spiral-twist stem featuring relief decoration depicting foliage and scrollwork. The piece is finished with a spreading, circular domed foot. The object exhibits a yellow metallic lustre beneath heavy dark tarnish, consistent with silver plating over a base metal alloy. While visually consistent with mid-20th century examples produced in Spain, no manufacturer marks or hallmarks are visible in the provided images.
