A collection of UK bi-metallic two-pound coins, each comprising a cupro-nickel inner core and a nickel-brass outer ring. The obverses feature various effigies of Queen Elizabeth II with Latin legends and the denomination TWO POUNDS. The reverses display a variety of commemorative designs issued between 1999 and 2016. Identifiable issues include the 1999 Rugby World Cup, the 2001 Centenary of Marconi’s Wireless Telegraphy, three variations of the 2002 Commonwealth Games featuring different national flags, the 2004 200th Anniversary of the Steam Locomotive, the 2005 60th Anniversary of the End of WWII, the 2007 300th Anniversary of the Act of Union, the 2008 Centenary of the 1908 London Olympics, the 2012 London to Rio Olympic Handover, the 2015 800th Anniversary of the Magna Carta, and the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The coins are housed in a clear Peller’s brand plastic pocket sheet.

Condition report:
Circulated. The coins exhibit surface wear, contact marks, and light scratches commensurate with general use in circulation. Toning and minor oxidation are visible on the nickel-brass outer rings. The clear plastic sleeve shows minor wear and surface dust.
