A fine bone china vase of square-section baluster form, produced for the British tea merchant Ringtons. The body is decorated with a blue and white transfer-printed Willow Story pattern, which is a variation of the classic Willow pattern. The decoration is arranged in horizontal bands featuring traditional motifs of pagodas, bridges with figures, boats, and stylised willow and pine trees. The vase features a waisted neck leading to a flared square rim with a gilt edge. The base bears a blue printed mark consisting of a circular logo containing a horse and cart, surrounded by the text RINGTONS and a ribbon banner inscribed A FAMILY BUSINESS EST. 1907. Below the logo is the pattern name Willow Story Vase, followed by the text Exclusively Produced for RINGTONS Fine Bone China.
