Buyer's Premium:

This collection comprises commemorative memorabilia relating to the 1937 coronation and a British seaside souvenir. The group features several souvenir spoons, likely constructed from silver-plated base metal, manufactured using embossing and casting techniques. Each spoon stem is embossed with the text CORONATION 1937, and the handles are topped with decorative finials featuring a crown above a medallion containing a profile portrait of King George VI. The spoons are accompanied by cardboard presentation boxes with blue lids, depicting oval portraits of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The lids bear the printed inscription A SOUVENIR OF THE CORONATION OF H-M KING GEORGE VI AND H-M QUEEN ELIZABETH MAY 1937 With the Best Wishes of the West Riding County Council. Also included is a small, circular metal storage tin, the lid of which features a central printed coastal scene titled SOUVENIR OF MORECAMBE and is embossed around the rim with the words STUDS AND SLEEVE LINKS.

Condition report:

The items are in good vintage condition. The spoons show light surface tarnishing and wear consistent with age. The presentation boxes exhibit age-related wear, including scuffing to the edges and minor staining. The souvenir tin shows light surface scratches and minor tarnishing.
