This is a single antique side lamp designed for use on a carriage or early motor vehicle. The lamp comprises a square metal body featuring a conical, stepped chimney and a ball finial. It is equipped with a circular front lens and a flared metal reflector bezel. The side panels are inset with glass, one of which displays an etched eight-pointed star motif. The lamp is mounted upon a cylindrical stem. An internal incandescent bulb is visible, suggesting an adaptation for electric use. No manufacturer marks were found during inspection.
Condition report:
The lamp is presented in a well-used, unrestored condition. There is prominent surface rust, pitting, and oxidation across the metal casing and chimney. The reflector bezel shows heavy tarnishing and degradation of the original plating. The glass panels appear intact but are clouded with grime. The electrical functionality is untested.
