Buyer's Premium:

A Royal Crown Derby English bone china bowl in the iconic Old Imari pattern, number 1128. The vessel is of boat-shaped, oval form featuring a fluted and scalloped rim and twin integral scroll-type handles. It is richly decorated in the traditional Imari colour palette of cobalt blue and iron red, with extensive and heavy gilding. The intricate pattern comprises panels of stylized floral designs, fan motifs, and geometric trellis-work. The base bears a printed red factory backstamp consisting of a crown surmounting interlaced ‘D’ initials, encircled by the text ROYAL CROWN DERBY ENGLISH BONE CHINA. The pattern number 1128 and the Roman numeral date code XLVIII are also present, indicating the piece was manufactured in 1985. Further hand-painted marks include a red letter P, a green 2, and gilded characters v/1, which are likely decorator identification marks.

Condition report:

The bowl is in excellent condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or signs of crazing. The piece shows no evidence of repair or restoration. The gilding remains bright and displays minimal signs of wear or rubbing.
