Philatelic numismatic cover issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the end of the First World War. The cover features a strip of three 1st class postage stamps from the 2008 Lest We Forget issue, SG 2881-2883. The stamps are cancelled by two circular date stamps inscribed REMEMBERING OUR GLORIOUS DEAD, LONDON SW1, dated 6.11.2008. An inset Brilliant Uncirculated UK five-pound commemorative coin is featured within the envelope, bearing the inscription THE GLORIOUS DEAD. The illustrated envelope is individually numbered 00562 and bears the imprint of The Royal Mint, Llantrisant.
Condition report:
The cover is in very fine condition. The paper remains bright with no signs of foxing, toning, or creasing. All stamps are securely affixed with clear, crisp cancellations. The commemorative coin is bright and securely held in the aperture. Corners and edges are sharp.
