A collection of UK and Commonwealth struck coins and commemorative issues. The group includes a white metal Falkland Islands 150th Anniversary commemorative (1833-1983) in its original illustrated card folder, alongside an additional loose specimen of the same type featuring a sailing ship on the reverse. The selection of UK currency includes cupro-nickel half crowns dated 1948, 1955, 1960, 1961, and 1965, featuring portraits of George VI and Elizabeth II with royal arms reverses and legends FID DEF or FID DEF IND IMP. Large format commemorative coins include a 1977 Silver Jubilee crown with an equestrian portrait, a 2006 Queen Elizabeth II 80th Birthday five-pound coin inscribed Vivat Regina, and a five-pound coin commemorating the anniversary of the birth of Lord Nelson. Smaller denominations comprise a 1961 nickel-brass threepence with portcullis reverse, a George VI era brass threepence, and a scalloped 1963 Indian 5 Paisa coin.


Condition report:

Condition varies across the collection from circulated with typical wear and toning to pieces retaining original mint lustre. One 1961 half crown has been drilled with a small hole at the top edge. The Falkland Islands commemorative folder shows minor signs of shelf wear and handling.
