The lot includes examples of Irish Eire coinage featuring the harp motif. One individual coin is held within a clear plastic protective flip. The accompanying boxed set is titled COMPLETE SET OF BRASS THREEPENCE FROM THE CORONATION UNTIL DECIMALIZATION and contains brass threepence coins dated 1953 to 1967, featuring the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the crowned portcullis reverse.
Condition report:
The coins exhibit varying degrees of circulation, with most showing significant wear to the high points and legends. Bronze pieces display dark toning and surface oxidation, while cupro-nickel and silver alloy coins show typical circulation marks and some dulling of surfaces. The boxed threepence set remains in relatively good condition, with several coins retaining partial original lustre. The metal storage tin shows surface scratches and minor wear.
