A cased writing instrument set by Parker, model 45 Flighter, comprising a fountain pen and a matching mechanical pencil. Both instruments are constructed with brushed stainless steel barrels and caps, complemented by chrome-plated arrow-shaped clips and trim. The fountain pen features the characteristic hooded nib design of the model 45 and is designed for a cartridge or converter filling system. The mechanical pencil operates with a push-button repeater mechanism. Each piece is marked PARKER on the cap band. The set is housed in its original blue textured presentation box. The lid is gilt-stamped with the inscription PRESENTED BY FIRTH BROWN LTD 25 YEAR AWARD above a logo depicting a figure holding a globe. Also included is an original Parker instruction pamphlet for fountain pen care and maintenance, which recommends the use of Parker Super Quink.
