Buyer's Premium:

A collection of vintage Ordnance Survey maps of Great Britain, primarily dating from the mid-20th century. This group includes a mix of the New Popular Edition for England and Wales and the Seventh Series. The maps are produced at a scale of one inch to one mile and are presented in folded format with card covers. Several examples are noted as being mounted on cloth or having cloth-backed covers, while others are paper versions.

Featured locations and sheets within the collection include York (Sheet 97), Doncaster (Sheet 103), Buxton and Matlock (Sheet 111), Nottingham (Sheet 112), Gainsborough (Sheet 104), Derby and Leicester (Sheet 121), Grimsby (Sheet 105), Leeds and Bradford (Sheet 96), Lincoln and Grantham (Sheet 113), Huddersfield (Sheet 102), Boston and Skegness (Sheet 114), Burton upon Trent (Sheet 120), and Coventry and Rugby (Sheet 132).

Visible publication and revision dates across the various sheets include 1947, 1950, 1954, 1961, 1962, and 1967. Several covers bear secondary retail or donor labels, including Oxfam price stickers and various handwritten ink notations such as MB18 and price marks.

Condition report:

The maps are in good vintage condition. The card covers show typical signs of age and handling, including light edge wear, minor creasing to the corners, and some tanning or foxing to the paper surfaces. There are several handwritten names or prices and adhesive price labels on the front covers. The interior maps have not been fully inspected for internal tears, foxing, or tape repairs, but appear generally well-preserved within their covers.
