This lot comprises two decorative collectible knives from the John Wayne Knife Collection, produced by The Bradford Exchange. The first knife, titled Fighting Spirits, is the seventh issue in the collection (No. A2450). The blade features a colour printed montage depicting John Wayne in his role as Rooster Cogburn. The handle has a faux-wood finish with a raised, bronze-toned sculptural figure of the actor and a brass-toned crossguard. The second knife, titled On the Range, is the sixth issue in the collection (No. A3201). The blade features a colour printed image of John Wayne holding a rifle, with a corresponding raised sculptural figure on the handle. Both knives feature a gold-toned band on the pommel with a facsimile signature of John Wayne. The reverse of each handle is printed with specific issue details, stating the production was restricted to a maximum of 295 casting days. These items are officially licensed by Wayne Enterprises. Both knives are housed in their original polystyrene protective packaging.
Condition report:
Both items appear to be in excellent, as-new condition. There is no visible wear, fading, or damage to the printed blade graphics or the sculptural elements of the handles. The polystyrene packaging is intact with some minor surface wear and adhesive tape residue.
