This collection of John Wayne memorabilia comprises one wall clock and three fine porcelain decorative plates. The rectangular wall clock is set in a light-coloured wooden frame and features a quartz movement. The face is printed with photographic images of the actor in Western costume, including a large central portrait and two smaller inset scenes, with gold-toned metal hands and Arabic numerals. The three porcelain plates are part of the Franklin Mint Heirloom Collection and feature artwork by Robert Tanenbaum. Each plate is a limited edition with a gold-toned rim and is hand-numbered on the reverse. The titles include Hondo Lane, Cavalry Scout (Plate No. 4617), The Duke (Plate No. 2874), and Pine Ridge (Plate No. 4531). The reverse of each plate bears a Franklin Mint backstamp and a warning indicating the items are for decorative use only.
Condition report:
The wall clock retains its original cardboard corner protectors, although there is visible staining and foxing to the backing material. The quartz movement is untested. The three porcelain plates are in good condition, with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The printed transfers and gilt rims remain intact.
