A collection of multiple UK pre-decimal coins housed in a rectangular metal tin with a lithographed lid featuring an illustration of two teddy bears with balls of yarn. The assembly includes various denominations such as pennies, halfpennies, sixpences, shillings, florins, and a 1965 Sir Winston Churchill commemorative crown. Visible obverse portraits represent monarchs King George V, King George VI, and Queen Elizabeth II. Reverse designs include the seated figure of Britannia and the floral motif on a florin representing the Tudor rose, thistle, shamrock, and leek. Noted inscriptions include GEORGIVS V DEI GRA BRITT OMN REX FID DEF IND IMP and ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F.D. Observed dates include 1910 and 1967. The collection comprises copper, cupro-nickel, and potentially silver-alloy coinage for denominations minted prior to 1947.
Condition report:
The coins are in circulated condition, exhibiting moderate to heavy wear across the surfaces. Toning, patina, and varying degrees of oxidation are present. The metal tin shows signs of age and use, including minor denting, surface scratches, and oxidation along the interior and exposed edges.
