This lot comprises one Walther P38 commemorative limited edition CO2-powered semi-automatic style air pistol, chambered for 4.5mm (.177) calibre BBs. The pistol features a 4.75-inch gold-plated barrel and a high-polish chrome-plated slide and frame. Aesthetic contrasts are provided by gold-plated components including the trigger, hammer, safety lever, and slide release, alongside cream-coloured chequered polymer grips. Fixed sights consist of a front blade and a rear notch. Significant markings include the Walther ribbon logo, “P38”, and “Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do.” on the left slide. The right frame is marked “1 of 1200”, indicating its status as a limited edition, followed by “cal. 4,5 mm (.177) S” and a pentagonal “F” mark. The pistol is housed in an ornate wooden presentation box with a carved oak leaf pattern and the Walther logo on the lid. Also included is one small plastic bag containing approximately 215 gold-coloured steel BBs.
Condition report:
The air pistol is in excellent, near-mint condition, showing minimal signs of handling on its polished chrome surfaces and vibrant gold plating. The cream-coloured grips remain pristine with sharp chequering. The bore appears clean and bright. The mechanical action appears to function correctly, though the firearm has not been CO2-pressure tested or fired. The wooden presentation case is in excellent condition with clear, undamaged carvings. The steel BBs appear in good condition with no visible corrosion.
