This lot comprises a collection of approximately 12 assorted garden hand tools constructed with forged or pressed metal heads mounted on primarily wooden shafts. The group includes three spades with rectangular blades and D-handle grips, featuring one green composite handle and two wooden shafts. Also present are two digging forks, a four-tine pitchfork, two garden rakes, and two draw hoes with long wooden shafts. Cutting implements include two pairs of long-handled garden edging shears. Both pairs of shears retain adhesive labels for Wilkinson Sword. Other tools in the collection appear unmarked or have markings obscured by age and use. Some modern examples incorporate plastic D-handles and metal tubular shafts.
Condition report:
All items are in used, as-found condition with significant surface oxidation and rust across all metal components. The wooden handles exhibit weathering, ingrained dirt, and some minor splitting. One handle has been reinforced with a twine or tape repair near the socket.
