Description
This lot consists of two framed and glazed decorative prints. The larger print is a Pears’ Soap advertisement after an original work by Fred Morgan, depicting a Victorian scene of two children washing at a ceramic bowl placed on a wooden chair. The text Pears’ Soap. is displayed in stylized lettering across the top of the image. The second, smaller print portrays a sentimental interior scene with a young child in a nightgown kneeling by a wicker basket containing a puppy, illuminated by a candle. Both items are paper prints housed in dark wood-effect frames with gold-tone inner slips. The larger print is finished with an off-white mat.
Condition report:
The prints and frames are in good overall condition. There is minor surface wear and light scuffing to the frames. The glazing and internal prints appear well-maintained.
