Description
A silver-plated souvenir tankard of tapering cylindrical form with a flared rim and a stepped pedestal foot. The vessel is fitted with a single scroll handle. Applied to the front is a polychrome enamelled badge depicting the Jolly Fisherman character, a long-standing symbol of Skegness. The badge features the text SKEGNESS across the character’s jumper, with a banner below reading BUTLIN’S CAMP and the date 1939. Stamped vertically on the body are the marks A.1, EPNS, MADE IN, and ENGLAND.
Condition report:
The item shows surface wear, minor scratches, and areas of tarnishing consistent with age and use. The enamelled badge appears to be in good condition with vibrant colours.
