Description
A Kodak Brownie Six-20 Model C box camera, manufactured in England by Kodak Limited. The camera is constructed with a rectangular metal body finished in a black grained leatherette covering. The front plate features an Art Deco design with horizontal silver-tone lines, housing two circular viewfinder windows and a centrally recessed taking lens. Markings on the front plate include the model name Brownie in a stylised script, SIX-20 CAMERA, Model C, and the manufacturer credit MADE IN ENGLAND BY KODAK LIMITED. The top leather handle is embossed KODAK. The lot includes a black carrying case.
Condition report:
The camera is in a well-used condition. The metal edges exhibit significant wear to the black finish, with visible surface oxidation and rust. The leatherette covering is peeling in several areas and shows heavy dust and dirt accumulation. The viewfinder and taking lenses appear hazy and require cleaning. The top carrying strap is snapped. The accompanying black carrying case is heavily worn and dusty. The internal mechanism and shutter are untested.
