Description
A collection of numismatic items and small collectibles presented in a vintage King Edward The Seventh Invincible Deluxe cardboard cigar box, a Swisher product. The lot includes a set of six UK coins encapsulated in a rectangular acrylic block, featuring the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F:D:. This set comprises a florin, shilling, sixpence, penny, halfpenny, and a dodecagonal threepence. The box contains an assortment of loose, unsorted coins primarily from the UK, including examples from the reigns of Queen Victoria, King George V, King George VI, and Queen Elizabeth II. Visible denominations include bronze pennies, cupro-nickel shillings, and sixpences. An Irish coin featuring a harp is included in a plastic flip. The lot also contains three decorative spoons, including two with ornamental bowls and coloured handles in cream and red. A folding fruit knife with a metal blade and scales resembling mother-of-pearl or bone is provided in a black leather sheath.
Condition report:
The items are in mixed condition. Coins show varying degrees of circulation wear, surface oxidation, and toning. The acrylic block and cardboard cigar box exhibit surface scuffing, edge wear, and typical signs of age. The spoons show surface tarnish and the leather sheath displays wear to the finish.
