Description
A collection of commemorative coins from the UK and various Commonwealth and Overseas Territories including Fiji, Jersey, Alderney, the Isle of Man, the Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Sierra Leone, and the Turks & Caicos Islands. The assembly includes denominations of Five Pounds (Crowns), Two Pounds, 50 Pence, and Five Crowns. Struck in silver-coloured alloys, the coins feature various commemorative themes including the 2002 Golden Jubilee, the life and centenary of HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, HRH Prince William of Wales, Diana Princess of Wales, and the Battle of Stalingrad. One specimen from the Preserve Planet Earth series features an elephant design. Obverses carry the effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II with various inscriptions and dates ranging from 1990 to 2004. The coins are presented in a clear plastic numismatic folder page. These issues were produced in limited mintage for collectors to commemorate significant royal and historical milestones.
Condition report:
The coins are in uncirculated condition, with several appearing to be proof strikes. They exhibit high reflective lustre with some instances of light surface haze or minor toning. No significant abrasions, cleaning, or edge knocks are visible through the plastic housing.
