Description
A collection of eight UK commemorative coins presented in a white printed card folder. The set comprises seven crown-sized coins and one five-pound coin, all struck in cupro-nickel with milled edges. The collection includes a 1953 Coronation five-shilling crown, a 1960 British Exhibition five-shilling crown, a 1965 Winston Churchill commemorative five-shilling crown, a 1972 Silver Wedding Anniversary twenty-five pence crown, a 1977 Silver Jubilee twenty-five pence crown, a 1980 Queen Mother 80th Birthday twenty-five pence crown, a 1981 Royal Wedding twenty-five pence crown, and a 1990 Queen Mother 90th Birthday five-pound coin. All pieces feature the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, including the equestrian portraits on the 1953 and 1977 issues. The coins are housed in a commemorative display folder decorated with heraldic shields and descriptive text for each issue.
Condition report:
The coins are in uncirculated to brilliant uncirculated condition, retaining original mint lustre. There are minor handling marks and light peripheral toning consistent with age and storage. The card folder remains intact with some light shelf wear and minor creasing to the edges.
