Lot 65: UK 2021 The Royal Mint 50th Anniversary of Decimal Day 50 Pence Coin

A UK 50 pence coin issued by THE ROYAL MINT in 2021 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of decimalisation. The coin is presented within its original printed folding card which features a green and cream colour scheme. The reverse of the coin features a collage design incorporating fragments of pre-decimal coinage including the inscriptions SHILLING, SIX PENCE, HALF, and PENCE, arranged around a central octagonal cartouche inscribed 1971 DECIMAL DAY. The obverse features the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
