Lot 276: HM Walking Liberty .999 Fine Silver Round, 0.5 oz t

A contemporary silver round featuring the Walking Liberty design on the obverse. The figure of Liberty is depicted in stride, draped in the American flag, with her right arm extended and her left arm carrying branches of laurel and oak. The sun rises over a mountain in the lower-left foreground. The obverse is struck with the legend LIBERTY across the upper rim and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST in the lower-right field. The reverse features a heraldic eagle with outspread wings behind a shield, which is struck with the word COPY in block capitals. Thirteen stars are arranged in a triangular formation above the eagle. The reverse is further inscribed with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the upper rim and ONE HALF TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER around the lower rim. The letters HM are struck in the lower-right field below the eagle’s wing.
