Lot 16: A Decorative Slat Sign With Inspirational Text
Not sold
A rectangular decorative wall plaque constructed from three horizontal composite wood slats. The surface features a printed distressed finish in white and brown tones, designed to simulate weathered timber with areas of apparent paint loss. The central portion of the sign is printed with a bold black sans-serif vertical text design reading: GOOD FRIENDS ARE LIKE STARS YOU DON’T HAVE TO SEE THEM TO KNOW THEY ARE THERE. The sign is held together by two vertical battens on the reverse and features two pre-drilled holes for mounting, located along the vertical centreline. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Width: 60 cm
Height: 30 cm.
Condition report:
The sign is in good decorative condition. The irregular brown patches, simulated wood grain, and uneven white colouring are intentional features of the distressed design rather than signs of post-manufacturing damage. No bends, breaks, or structural faults are visible.
