A collection of multiple 1/4 denomination Florida Goldback currency notes. Each note is constructed from a thin layer of 24ct gold encased in a transparent polymer film. The obverse of each note features a central vignette of a female figure in classical dress holding a trident, set against a background of red and black decorative borders. Printed legends on the obverse include FLORIDA GOLDBACK NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENT and the denomination 1/4. A text box at the right edge states THIS GOLDBACK CONTAINS 1/1000TH TROY OUNCE 24K GOLD. The signatures of A.M. HILL and D.P. HARMON are printed at the base. The notes are held together by a black paper band featuring a gold foil GB monogram logo and the text GOLDBACK. No individual serial numbers are legible on the stacked notes.
Condition report:
The notes appear in uncirculated condition, showing crisp edges, sharp corners, and no visible signs of folding, creasing, or handling. The gold foil surfaces remain bright and iridescent. The black paper band is intact and shows no signs of tearing or wear.
