Lot 194: UK 1983 Tower Mint Metropolitan Police Special Branch Bronze Medallion

A 1983 commemorative medallion, circular in form and struck in solid bronze. The obverse features six police crests of varying designs, including a central crown-topped star crest surrounded by five others. The dates 1883 and 1983 are struck vertically to the left and right of the central design respectively. The medallion is housed in a blue presentation case with a cream-coloured silk and velvet lining. The interior lid is printed in gold lettering reading METROPOLITAN POLICE, SPECIAL BRANCH, EXCLUSIVE EDITION, SOLID BRONZE.
