Lot 169: Germania 2023 Allegories 1/2 oz .999 Copper Round

A Germania Mint copper bullion round from the Allegories series. The obverse features the personification of Germania seated upon a throne, holding a sword upright in her right hand and resting her left hand upon a shield decorated with a double-headed eagle. A raven is depicted at the base of the throne to the left. The reverse displays a double-headed eagle clutching lightning bolts, flanked by a laurel wreath. The obverse is incised in the left field with 1/2 OZ CU .999 and the legend at the top reads GERMANIA 2023. The reverse bears the struck legends 1/2 MARK at the top and GERMANIA at the base, with a small shield mark containing a stylised M positioned to the right of the eagle’s tail.
