Lot 536: A Hand-Painted Wooden Kynoch Advertising Sign

A rectangular wooden advertising sign featuring a black painted ground with a single white border. The sign is hand-painted with the brand name KYNOCH in large serif block lettering. The characters are executed with a blue-to-light-blue gradient and are set off by white shadowed edges to create a three-dimensional effect. The board is constructed from a single piece of wood, evidenced by horizontal graining and a vertical split. Two metal eyelets are fitted to the top edge for suspension. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
