Lot 534: Multiple Ace Cafe London Pedestal Tables
Not sold
A group of circular cafe tables featuring black painted tops with hand-painted white graphics and lettering. The centre of each table top is decorated with a club suit symbol from a deck of cards, above which the letters A, C, and E are positioned. The perimeter of the table top is inscribed with the legend ACE CAFE LONDON in a white serif typeface. The tables are constructed with a central black metal pedestal support, terminating in a circular cast iron base with a concentric tiered design. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
Condition report:
The tables are in used condition with signs of age and outdoor exposure. The painted tops show significant surface wear, including widespread scuffing, scratches, and fading to the white lettering (photo 1). The metal pedestals and cast iron bases exhibit visible oxidation and surface rust, particularly concentrated around the tiered feet (photo 2).
