Lot 530: A Mid-20th Century Oak Three-Drawer Chest

A mid-20th century chest of drawers featuring three full-width drawers. The piece is constructed with a rectangular top and a stepped gallery back, supported on a continuous plinth base. The drawer fronts and top display prominent quarter-sawn oak grain patterns. The drawers are constructed using machine-cut dovetail joints and have lighter-toned wood or plywood interiors. Each drawer is fitted with two cast metal drop handles featuring decorative backplates with stylised floral motifs. A white rectangular tag is attached to the upper right handle with string; however, the characters on this tag are not legible. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
