The interior of the case back is struck with a logo depicting a set of scales, and the legends FAHYS, MONTAUK, GUARANTEED, 20 YEARS, and the number 872584. The 17-jewel manual wind movement is engraved ELGIN NATL WATCH CO., U.S.A., 17 JEWELS, and the serial number 28063389. The watch is accompanied by a curb link watch chain featuring a T-bar and a swivel clasp.
Condition report:
The watch shows signs of age-related wear and handling throughout. The dial exhibits visible oxidation and spotting across the silvered surface (photo 1). The yellow metal case displays surface scratching and thinning to the finish, most notably on the edges and the T-bar component (photo 3). The blued steel hands appear intact and the crystal shows light surface scratching. The movement appears clean, but the mechanical function is not tested.
